1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the PayCores payment processing service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
PayCores provides payment processing infrastructure for digital platforms ("Merchants") and their end users ("Customers"). These Terms govern the relationship between PayCores and all parties who interact with the Service.
2. Description of Service
PayCores is a hosted payment processing service that enables Merchants to accept payments from Customers through a range of payment methods, which may include global card networks, digital wallets, regional local-rail methods, and compliant digital-asset settlement. The Service includes:
- Hosted checkout pages for secure payment collection
- API endpoints for order creation and management
- Webhook notifications for payment events
- Subscription and recurring billing management
- Multi-currency and multi-method payment routing
3. Merchant Obligations
Merchants who integrate PayCores into their platforms agree to:
- Provide accurate business information during onboarding
- Maintain the security of their API credentials and shared secrets
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction
- Accurately describe products and services sold to Customers
- Handle customer support and disputes in a timely manner
- Not use the Service for any illegal or prohibited activities
4. Customer Rights
Customers who make payments through the PayCores checkout are entitled to:
- Secure handling of their payment information
- Clear display of the payment amount and product details before confirming payment
- A receipt or confirmation of their transaction
- The right to request refunds through the Merchant's refund policy
5. Payment Processing
PayCores facilitates payment processing through third-party payment providers. PayCores does not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials. All payment data is handled in accordance with PCI DSS standards by the respective payment processors.
Payment processing times vary by method. Card and digital-wallet payments are typically processed instantly. Local-rail and digital-asset settlement methods may require network or banking confirmations and can take additional time to complete; the underlying settlement window is disclosed on the relevant checkout page.
6. Fees and Settlements
Transaction fees are determined by the agreement between PayCores and the Merchant. Fees may vary based on the payment method, transaction volume, and risk profile. Settlement schedules are specified in each Merchant's service agreement.
7. Refunds and Chargebacks
Refund policies are determined by the Merchant. PayCores facilitates refund processing upon Merchant request. For chargebacks initiated through payment card networks, PayCores will notify the Merchant and provide relevant transaction data to support the dispute process.
8. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited when using the Service:
- Processing transactions for illegal goods or services
- Money laundering or terrorist financing
- Fraudulent transactions or unauthorized use of payment methods
- Attempting to circumvent security measures or exploit vulnerabilities
- Using the Service in a manner that violates payment network rules
9. Limitation of Liability
PayCores provides the Service "as is" and makes no warranties regarding uptime, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PayCores shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service.
PayCores' total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the fees paid by the Merchant to PayCores in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Data Protection
PayCores processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We comply with applicable data protection regulations and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship with 30 days' written notice. PayCores reserves the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if a Merchant violates these Terms or engages in prohibited activities. Upon termination, pending settlements will be processed according to the agreed schedule.
12. Modifications
PayCores may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to Merchants at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
